About the Antique Heriz / Serapi Pattern
Heriz rugs come from a cluster of villages around the town of Heriz in northwestern Iran, near the foothills of Mount Sabalan. The finer, older, more graceful examples are called Serapi. Their hallmark is a strong geometric central medallion with corner spandrels, woven on robust wool foundations that hold up beautifully over generations. The classic palette — terracotta, rust, indigo, and ivory — has been a fixture of American and European interiors since the late 19th century, when Heriz rugs first became fashionable in the West. This is one of the most copied and most beloved patterns in all of carpet history.

Made from durable, fade-resistant fibers with a non-slip backing that holds securely on hardwood, tile, and laminate. Low-pile flat profile fits under doors and chairs. Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle (sizes up to 8'x10' fit most home washers); air dry. Vacuum normally between washes.

Beautiful rugs and they feel soft underfoot. I bought the rust colored one for my bedroom and red/brown one for my living room. Both are really beautiful- perfect vintage rug look. I have a runner ordered for my bathroom in the red and can’t wait to receive it! Because these are 9x12 and 10x14 I doubt I’ll be throwing them in the wash, but for the price they’re awesome.
Perfect Orangey-red traditional rug! It is thin but soft and feels well underfoot. It stretches a bit (which I don’t like) which makes it bunch a little. Also makes vacuuming a little tricky. I did use a rug pad and almost feel this would be better if I didn’t have one. Good quality and great price. Pic of my red socks in comparison to show coloring. My lumbar pillow is red though and it still coordinates well. Would buy again.

I needed washable runners for the protection of two senior dogs. The colors are beautiful and the range of sizes gave me to have the same runners in different rooms. I gave them a 4 because I don't know how they'll hold after machine washing.
Rugs seem nice, unfortunately one was mislabeled in packaging and was brown rather than orange/blue. Returned and reordered-fingers crossed it will be the right one. It’s too bad there is a $19 charge for two day shipping.

I bought two rugs I put them in front of doors going outside and they don’t show the dirt
If this rug is being used on a wood floor it is recommended that a pad is used under the rug otherwise the rug will not stay in place. Since the rug if folded for shipment it will take days for the fold creases to relax.
Beautiful! Flat! Worked well with the colors in my living room. A great addition. Stays in place. Haven’t had to ask it yet but, I have no doubt it will do well. Excellent size.
