About the Antique Bidjar Pattern
Bidjar rugs come from the Kurdish town of Bidjar in northwestern Iran. They're famously dense — Bidjar weavers traditionally beat the wefts so tightly that the rugs feel almost like sheets of armor, hence the nickname "iron rugs." The classical Bidjar composition features a small central medallion on a densely-decorated all-over field, often using a Mahi (fish) or Herati pattern across the entire surface. This combination of fine geometry and saturated jewel-tone color has made antique Bidjar rugs some of the most collected Persian carpets in the world. This washable reproduction captures that depth of character in a modern, daily-life construction.

There was no blue at all in the one we received. I don’t know if they sent the wrong one, or if it just doesn’t match the photo well. We kept it. It’s well made and suits its purpose. But we’d hoped for more colour.

They are not as thick as I expected.
I bought two of these in the 2 x 3 size to use inside of two entry doors. I love the blue/brown pattern and colors. They are very pretty and neutral. I also like that they are low profile and my doors clear the rugs easily. However, they are definitely NOT non-slip on ceramic tile floors. They moved every single time someone walked on them until I resorted to using non-slip pads under them which had to be affixed to the rugs with carpet tape. I already had some extra pad material or this would have added to the cost. So much for being washable, I will have to peel carpet tape and reattach every time I wash them so I won't be doing that too often. Luckily the blue/brown version looks like it will be great at hiding dirt. I am crossing my fingers hoping that my cats don't destroy the rugs quickly. I've only had them for two weeks and already I see a couple of very small white pulls. Probably no one else would notice that but the jury's still out on how they will hold up to cats over time. I also have one large and one medium dog, and the rugs seem to be holding up to the dogs fine. I was considering a much larger one of these rugs for the family room but I'm not sure I'd buy another given my cat situation and the price, which is higher than other similar rugs.
